250个单词构成一门语言最基础的核心,没有这些词你无法组合句子。
750个单词构成每个人每天说话会用到的词汇。
2500个单词应该可以让你说出任何你想表达的内容,虽然有时会词不达意
5000个单词构成教育水平一般的母语使用者的积极词汇量。
10000个单词构成有较高教育水平的母语使用者的积极词汇量。
20000个单词可以使你几乎无障碍地阅读、理解和享受文学作品。
而词汇测试网站也曾针对不同人群的词汇量做了一个相对真实完整的调查。
主要用来根据用户的年龄,受教育程度来评估个人的词汇量,尤其是外语课堂学习与本土学习的对比。
结果显示:
大多数成年母语使用者的词汇量为20000—35000个单词
8岁的母语使用者平均词汇量为10000个单词
4岁的母语使用者平均词汇量为5000个单词

大多数外语学习者的词汇量仅徘徊在4500—5000个单词左右,相当于4岁母语使用者的词汇量;
