《Mister Seahorse》
Mr.and Mrs.Seahorse drifted gently through the sea.
海马先生和海马太太在大海里轻轻地游来游去。
Mrs. Seahorse began to wiggle and twist this way and that.
海马太太突然开始扭来扭去，左右摇摆。
It’s time for me to lay my eggs,” she said.
海马太太说：“我要生宝了。”
“Can I help?” asked Mr Seahorse.
海马先生问：“我能帮忙吗？”
“Oh, yes. Thank you!” said Mrs Seahorse
海马太太说：“哦，太好了，谢谢你！”
And she laid her eggs into a pouch on Mr Seahorse’s belly.
然后，她吧鱼卵直接生在了海马先生肚子上的育儿袋里。
“I’ll take good care of our eggs,” said Mr Seahorse,“I promise.”
海马先生说：“我保证，我会好好照顾我们的宝宝的。”

海马先生在大海里轻轻的游来游去，他经过了……
a group of trumpet fish hidden in a patch of reeds.
一群藏在海草从里的喇叭鱼。
But before long, Mr Seahorse met another fish.
不久，海马先生遇到了另一条鱼。
“How are you, Mr Stickleback?” asked Mr Seahorse.
海马先生问：“刺鱼先生，你好吗？”
"Delighted,"replied Mr Stickleback. “I’ve just built a nest and right away.
刺鱼先生回答：“我很开心啊！我刚刚造好一个窝。
Mrs Stickleback laid her eggs in it.Now I am taking good care of them until they hatch.
太太就生了好多宝宝在里面。我要好好照顾他们，等他们都孵出来。
“Keep up the good work,” said Mr Seahorse and swam on his way.
“那就快快忙你的事吧、”海马先生说着，就游走了。

海马先生在大海里轻轻的游来游去，他躲过了……

一条藏在珊瑚礁后面的狮子鱼。
But before long, Mr Seahorse met another fish.
不久，海马先生遇到了另一条鱼。
“How are you, Mr Tilapia?” asked Mr Seahorse.
海马先生问：“罗非鱼先生，你好吗？”
Mr Tilapia couldn’t answer. His mouth was full of eggs.
罗非鱼先生没办法回答，他的嘴里含满了卵。
“I know, I know,”said Mr Seahorse. “Mrs Tilapia has laid her eggs. Now you are taking good care of them until they hatch.”
海马先生说：“我知道了，我知道了，你太太生宝宝了，现在你要好好照顾他们，等他们都孵出来？”
Mr Tilapia nodded his head.
罗非鱼先生点点头。
“You must be very happy,”said Mr Seahorse and swam on his way.
“你一定很高兴吧。”海马先生说着，就游走了。

But before long, Mr Seahorse met another fish.
不久，海马先生又遇到了另一条鱼。
“How are you, Mr Kurtus?” asked Mr Seahorse.
海马先生问：“钩鱼先生，你好吗？”
“Perfectly fine,” replied Mr Kurtus.
“Mrs Kurtus has laied her eggs and I have stuck them on my head.
钩鱼先生回答：“好极了！我太太生宝宝了，我把他们粘在头上。
Now I am taking good care of them until they hatch.”
我要好好照顾他们，等他们都孵出来。”
“You are doing a good job,” said Mr Seahorse and swam on his way.
“你做的真棒！”海马先生说着，就游走了。
As Mr Seahorse drifted gently through the sea, he passed right by ...

一条藏在礁石里的石头鱼。
But before long, Mr Seahorse met another fish.
不久，海马先生又遇到了另一条鱼。
“ How are you, Mr Pipe ?” asked Mr Seahorse.
海马先生问：“海龙先生，你好吗？
“Couldn’t be better,” replied Mr Pipe.“Mrs Pipe had laid her eggs along my belly.Now I am taking good care of them until they hatch.”
海龙先生回答：“好得不得了！我太太沿着我的肚子生了许多宝宝，现在我要好好照顾他们，等他们都孵出来。”
“You should feel proud of yourself,” said Mr Seahorse and swam on his way.
“你应该为自己感到自豪！”海马先生说着，就游走了。
But before long, Mr Seahorse met another fish.
不久，海马先生遇到了另一条鱼。
“ How are you, Mr Bullhead ?” asked Mr Seahorse.
海马先生问：“鲶鱼先生，你好吗？”
“Tip-top,” replied Mr Bullhead.
“Mrs Bullhead laid her eggs, the eggs hatched. Now I’m babysitting.”
鲶鱼先生回答：“太棒了！我太太生宝宝了，宝宝都已经孵出来了，现在我正照顾他们。”
“You are doing a great job,”said Mr Seahorse and swam on his way.
“你做得很好！”海马先生说着，就游走了。
The time had come for the seahorse babies to be born.
海马宝宝出生的时候到。
Mr Seahorse wiggled and twisted, this way and that.
海马先生扭来扭去，左右摇摆。
At last, the babies tumbled out of Mr Seahorse’s pouch and swam away.
终于，海马宝宝从海马先生的育儿袋里翻滚出来，游走了。
One baby turned around and tried to get back into the pouch.
一只海马宝宝转过身子，想游回育儿袋里。
“Oh, no!” said Mr Seahorse. “ I do love you, but now you are ready to be on your own.”
海马先生说；“哦，不行！爸爸真的很爱你，可是，现在你要自己生活了。”
